CAPTURES POLLEN
Pollen floats in the air varying in size which are influenced by the type of plant and other factors.
MOLD SPORES REDUCTION
Prevent mold reproduction from spores that are released into the air. If there is sufficient food and a habitable environment, the spores become new mold. Mold spores are typically 3μ to 40μ in size.
CAPTURES DUST AND LINT
Protect your furnace from the household dust and lint that circulate through the home via the return vent.
CAPTURES SMOKE
Visible smoke can irritate your eyes, nose, and throat, but are less of a threat to your lungs and heart. Higher MERV rating filters are more efficient in capturing smaller particulates from smoke.
CAPTURES BACTERIA
MERV 11 filters are capable of capturing particulates between 3μ – 10μ with greater than 85% efficiency. Typical bacteria cells range from about 1μ to 10μ in length and 0.2μ to 1μ in width.
CAPTURES VIRUS CARRIERS
Although viruses are smaller in size than bacteria, viruses can be carried within particles larger than 1μ. MERV 11 filters are effective in capturing partciulates between 1μ - 3μ with an efficiency of 65%-80%.
